1997 Jeep Wrangler TJ
Forest Green
5 spd Manual
106k miles
2.5L 4 Cylinder Engine
Dana 30 Front/ Dana 35 Rear Axles – 4.11 Gears

Selling my low mileage TJ as I rarely drive it now and hoping someone else can enjoy it and take care of it. I purchased this Wrangler in April 2014 with 92,000 miles and has always been a secondary vehicle. In the past six years I have changed/repaired or upgraded numerous parts on this TJ. I’ve lost track and have spent thousands on this Jeep. I’ve easily spent more than 5k into it. I understand I will never recoup the money I’ve spent on it as vehicles are normally a backwards investment. The interior was completely stripped, sanded, primed and Herculined so it is protected from any rust. The Body/tub is practically rust free. The frame has been coated multiple times with rust primer and paint over the years. It does have rust on the frame and axles but most of it has been painted throughout the years for protection and some portions have seen better days. I did have two shops check out the rust years ago and say it was still in solid shape for its age, but you’re welcome to assess. The paint is in good shape but the hood and part of the fenders is where the clear coat has peeled and faded. I purchased it like this understanding it was an old vehicle and eventually wanted to get it repainted. It has gone through the maintenance of oil changes, battery changes, belt changes, fluid changes, mounts etc. over the years. Last oil change was 12/2019 at 106k miles, so it’s been driven about 400 miles since. Will include new parts that I never got around to replacing such as front u joints and wheel bearing & hub assembly’s.

Upgrades During Ownership:
-4.25 Zone Lift Kit (installed by offroad shop $950 labor/ $600 kit)
-Jeep ZJ Tie Rod Conversion ($70)
-33″ Five Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac Tires ($1,250)
-15″ Five MB Razor Wheels ($450)
-Barricade Trail Force Off Road Bumper ($289)
-Paramount Rear Off Road Bumper ($200)
-Raxiom H4 Hi/Lo LED Bulbs ($99)
-Ecode H4 Conversion Headlights ($80)
-LED Tailights ($80)
-Hella 500 Driving Lamps ($60)
-Mounted LED Hood Lights ($45)
-Rugged Ridge Tire Carrier ($70)
-Pavement Ends Soft Windows/ Soft Top ($350)
-2003 TJ Mirrors ($60)
-2003 Front TJ Seats and Brackets ($500)
-RC Neoprene Seat Covers ($170)

-Inaccurate Gas Gauge, it is almost always a quarter off, sometimes it works fine sometimes it doesn’t (example- if you pump a full tank but gauge will say it is 3/4 full, or on empty but you still have quarter of tank left still) previous owner didn’t disclose this and it is a faulty fuel gauge sender that is on the fuel pump, would need fuel pump replaced to fix this but the fuel pump is working with no issues so didn’t see the need to change it. A very common issue on wranglers.
-Exhaust Leak, barely noticeable through Dynoflow exhaust as it slightly loud
-Looks like a small oil leak, has never dripped onto my garage floor in all these years it’s been garaged but last oil change noticed oil pan was wet.

If ad is up, Jeep is available. Please keep in mind this is a 23 year old vehicle so it is not in perfect condition. It is still an amazing and fun vehicle to drive in any weather! Text preferred
